Performance Schedule and Attendance Info
Take your students to a play!

Each calendar year we present one original, character education themed, Broadway-style musical play. For your school field trip we perform in the Meagher Theater at Neumann College, Aston, PA and the Bluett Theater at St. Joseph University, Philadelphia, PA. We can also bring these productions to your school as an assembly. Go to Assemblies to see additional shows that can come to your school.
We have a six year cycle of enjoyable character education plays so that a child can see a different children's theatre musical every year from kindergarten through fifth grade. However, don't forget the pre-schoolers! The little ones enjoy our shows on their level: the music, movement, color and the comic action. The children are eager to talk about the characters, situations, and life skills they just enjoyed while watching the play.
Check out short video clips of some scenes from our productions. You can also listen to music clips.

- Standing up for personal convictions
- Independent Thinking
The Magnificent Red Button is an animal fable that takes place in a village called "Woods' End" where all the animals live together peaceably. Reynard T. Fox (This character could be portrayed by a woman or a man), a stranger to Wood's End, comes into the village and charms the villagers, telling them about many adventures. Digger the Mole is not fooled by the charm of the fox as the others are. Reynard hints that a valuable thing is in their town square. Without taking the time to actually discover what the valuable thing is, the animals race around town trying to find it. There is confusion and competition among the villagers. Digger the Mole tries to remind them that they don't even know what they are looking for.
While this confusion is taking place, the audience sees Reynard hide a button. The animals return from their search tired and frustrated. Suddenly Reynard finds the object of the search and cleverly reveals it to be a magnificent red button once worn by Mandarins in ancient China. Reynard tells the animals that any animal wearing the button will be admired and immediately become a revered citizen. The greed, jealousy and materialism created by desire for the button cause tension, conflict, anger and almost violence. Digger shows that the fox is a charlatan, but the desire for the button overwhelms the animals. Bickering, nastiness and name calling develop into conflict and anger. The musical number “Swat” demonstrates how easily small conflicts can escalate, and how friends can hurt each other with name calling and with anger. Digger confronts the fox and the animals realize what the desire for the button has done to them. They discard the button and return to their friendly ways.
